What my vision for Assumption Parish? There is more to say but here are three thoughts:

1. SALVATION OF SOULS, if we lose sight of this as the goal of this parish we have lost everything.
2. THAT EACH OF US (in our pews) BECOME MISSIONARY DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST; because we know Him; we love Him; and so, loving Him, we serve Him. Striving to make the name of Jesus known and loved in the world.
3. FAMILIES OF FORMATION: THAT OUR HOMES BECOME A PLACE FOR FORMATION AND TRANSFORMATION IN THE LORD. Where the love of God is promoted and the next generation is raised up and ascending beyond us in holiness and truth. To be formed and trained in the in the dying and rising and ascending of Jesus Christ, living in the kingdom of God, protected and preserved from the dangers and evils of this broken world. Parents elevating our game beyond, success being keeping them alive…readying and preparing them for the glory of following God.
   

Next week is Pentecost. Let’s pray for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our parish, for the strength to follow Jesus, our Shepherd, wherever he calls us!
